Earthquake 60km North of Canada's Capital City

This afternoon at exactly 1:41PM, me and my son felt an earthquake. It took me about 5 to 7 seconds to realize it was an earthquake, at first I even thought it was the wind. The earthquake lasted about 8 seconds and on the Natural Resources Canada website (www.nrcan.gc.ca) they state it reached a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter is located about 60Km North of Ottawa, more precisely at Latitude: 45.9 North and Longitude: 75.5 West, as seen on the image below.

Tied and tied to the cup

Philadelphia Flyers won both games at home and it is now 2-2 in the series. It seems that both teams want this cup... duh! Go! Flyers Go!

Crucial game for the Flyers

(En Français)

Tonight the Philadelphia Flyers play home for the first time since the beginning of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final. The Flyers lost the first two games in Chicago against the Blackhawks. If the Flyers manage to win the third and fourth game at home I may start to think they might have a chance at the cup. The problem is that Chicago has an awesome young team that does not seem to care where they play, so little I give for the Flyers to win the cup. Even though I don't underestimate the Philadelphia Flyers, which I am proud to say it is my only team I ever loved and probably ever love. On top of all I cannot stop rejoicing myself for the fact that the Flyers managed to do exactly what I wanted, and that is to eliminate the Montreal Canadiens and become the National Hockey League Eastern Conference Champions.

There are little words out there that can describe the contentment I have because the Flyers eliminated the Montreal team. You see, I am one of those guys that never had any influence while growing up concerning our own home NHL team. So I am against the current here in Montreal, I am the black sheep among them... LOL And it happens that I live in the city where the home team is regarded as the most acclaimed National Hockey League team in history, in major part because of their 24 Stanly Cup and a handful of amazing players they had over the years. But their nice story and players happened mostly in the far past, for me when it comes to sports I don't really care of the teams far past history, what happened before I was born is of little value. All I care is how a team managed to influence me while growing up, and it happens that the Flyers caught my attention more often than other teams. Because no one ever influenced me over the choice of an NHL team when I was growing up, other than the influence of the team itself, today I wonder if I am prouder and more fanatic of my team than other fans that may simply like a team's cool colors, total cups or just because it is their home town team. What you think?

Good luck Flyers for tonight's game 06/02/2010.

Pass And Score 2

I had to make a second one... good luck to both teams

Pass And Score

Here's a cheer up composition for all unconditional fans, me first. As I write this there are still over 16 hours of wait before the first game between the Flyers and Boston. Good Luck Flyers !!!

Image Explanation

On the left side the players is Arron Asham #45, he's trying to pass trough Bryce Salvador #24 in game five against New Jersey. Take note of Arron Asham's flexing hockey stick, nice image. (Original photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)

On the right side its Brian Boucher #33 looking at the center timer screen during a timeout, again in game five against New Jersey. (Original photo by Andy Marlin/NHLI via Getty Images)

On the far right, that's Rocky's statue, strong icon of Philadelphia and I personally take it as a symbol of determination.

In the middle I inserted the Liberty Bell, the reason is that I found amusing changing some letters and make it more for the occasion. On the original picture the inscription on the Bell reads Pass And Stow, I changed it to Pass And Score. ;)

The rest of the image do not need an explanation...:D
